The website users would be able to compare distinctive characteristics and demographics by city quickly, in both English and Chinese. Many of the users of the site are working professionals and would find value in being able to access the site on their mobile devices.

Background:

The client performs landscape maintenance for corporations across a large geographic area. Customers routinely phone in emergencies such as broken sprinkler systems and fallen trees. A central switchboard operator logs the request and then routes it to the appropriate supervisor in the field. With over 20 supervisors, the client found the process labor intensive and a hindrance to future growth.

Information entered in one program had to be re-entered in the other. In addition, the company’s brand image was diluted when clients were directed away from the corporate website to view their project on 37Signals’ hosted solution, Basecamp.

Background:

Right out of the gate Ekaa Events had a stable of widely known motivational speakers who had commissioned EE to set up and promote events and speaking engagements. However, EE faced two challenges; One they lacked a website to promote the events and two they lacked online event registration functionality. Time added further adversity.

Case Study - Art School

Client:

Non-Profit Art Foundation operating an Art School and Art Gallery


Background:

The non-profit maintained three different websites; one for the non-profit itself, one for the art school, and one for the gallery. Each one was built with standard HTML. It was very difficult for volunteers who lacked a technical background to maintain and update the sites. The class registration process was manual and contained many redundant data entry tasks. All art purchases had to be completed in person at the Gallery. There was no way for gallery patrons to purchase art pieces on line.

Case Study - Greeting Card Company

Client:

Greeting card company that wanted to create an online e-commerce presence to target specific vertical markets.

Background:

While our client felt their website did a good job of promoting its custom greeting cards to a general audience, they feared that certain vertical markets were not being served through the main site. They wanted a way for prospective clients to see information that pertained to them in an atmosphere that was relevant to their likes and needs. To accomplish this, the company decided to develop a separate standalone website specific to each vertical market. The company hoped people who visited these custom sites would see the company as one which was aligned to their needs.

This company also did not have any means of transacting business on the web. They wanted e-commerce capabilities on this new vertical portal.

Finally, the company wanted the ability to take the implemented solution and use it at as a template to create additional websites to sell to other vertical markets such as churches, schools, and florists.
